With Love

One child believes they are an atheist, one child believes God abandoned them, one child doesn't want to follow the Christian lifestyle because they believe it's fake, and one child wants to follow the Christian lifestyle but is too caught up in this world.

Have I failed as a Christian who is also a parent? No, I haven't. My children know about Jesus, they know the love Jesus has for them, but they are trying to figure it out in this world. They know that my husband and I love them and that we are here for them.

When I sit back and think about my own story and how much I struggled to accept the love of my Savior, it helps me understand that we must all find our own way. No way is perfect, because we are not perfect. The love of Jesus is perfect and I pray for my children every night that one day they can truly accept that.

In the meantime I will continue to love them as they are, because as Christians we are called to love and uplift each other. We should not put each other down, but help guide each other with love.
