Let’s Embrace Our Mess
Sometimes the messy parts of us, is what makes us real!
I think as Christians, we sometimes feel the need to be perfect. We have to look perfect, act perfect, and say the right things. But I’m here to tell you, that is not what Jesus expects from us. He expects us to die to ourselves, to admit that we don’t have it all figured out, and that we need him.
Why? Because we live in a fallen world and it is absolutely impossible to be a perfect person. God knows this, that is why Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice, to save us all from damnation. But that doesn’t mean go act insane, because Jesus knows we will mess up. It just means we need to humble ourselves.
If we choose to try and act like we have it all figured out, then one or two things will happen. We will either crash and burn taking down everything with us or we will create an illusion to those around us that what the world deems as standard is the only way. Either way we are creating a deceitful lie inside ourselves.
Jesus told us to come as we are, not as the world thinks we should be. So let’s just go a head & embrace the broken mess that we are. Admit it my friend, there is something right now that you are struggling with that no one knows about.
So go to your creator & lay it down at his feet. Give yourself the freedom and peace to go forward. Then when you are at a place where you feel comfortable, share with your community. Share the power of God & how he helped you overcome your struggles.
Someone out there can be completely transformed by your testimony and that is how you can make a difference.
