Goodbye Fall

I notice a golden leaf fall from a maple tree. As it begins to fall to the ground, it reminds me of an arrow. The arrow flies through the air hittng me and piercing through my chest. It barely nicks my heart, but leaves a tiny fragment missing. This creates an emptiness that would ache in my soul, deep inside the being that I am. I long for a loving kindness not given by man. As emotions rush through my body, I’m reminded of His love for me. An uncontrollable burst of gratefulness runs down my cheeks. I bend down to pick up the maple tree remnants and as I slowly start to rise up a tear seperates from my face; it splashes onto the golden leaf. I begin to notice the connection of life and the beauty of His creations.
