God Speaks Day 3 

Spending time with God in jail.

Zechariah 11:1-3- Open your doors, Lebanon, so that fire may devour your cedars! Wail, you juniper, for the cedar has fallen; the stately trees are ruined! Wail, oaks of Bashan; the dense forest has been cut down! Listen to the wail of the shepherds; their rich pastures are destroyed! Listen to the roar of the lions; the lush thicket of the Jordan is ruined!

Zechariah 12;1- A prophecy: The word of the Lord concerning Israel. The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person, declares:

My thoughts: 

I feel with the first scripture Zechariah 11:1-3 it's speaking of the good and bad shepherd. The shepherd is also referred to as Jesus and we are the flock. I feel it's referring to us watching out who we allow to lead us in our Christian faith so we don't turn astray. Zechariah 12:1 is referring to the security of Judah. Jesus is referred to as the Lion of Judah. In chapter 11 it says listen to the roar of young lions and chapter 12 is protecting Judah, maybe there is a connection but it was cool how I opened the Bible to find today's date and directly across is chapter 11 and 12 for November 12th. I feel there is a connection. God thank you for guiding me and even though I might not understand the scriptures you are giving me I'm writing everything down and trying to understand now, but if I'm not ready yet it's there for me to come back to. Thank you, Lord, for everything you are truly amazing in all that you do.
