God Speaks Day 2
Spending time with God in jail.
November 11th, 2018
Jeremiah 11:11- therefore, this is what the Lord says: I am about to bring on them disaster that they cannot escape. They will cry out to me, but I will not hear them.
Psalms 73:1-12- Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills. Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil imaginations have no limits. They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance, they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. They say, “How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?” This is what the wicked are like— always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.
My thoughts:
So I fought with God a little on the first scripture. I was like really it seems so evil, but he insisted that I write it I feel it speaks that God is a loving God but he is always a just God too. Meaning life always comes back around and with each choice you make there's a consequence that will follow. Either through you or others around you. Every day we live we can choose the path we take, we have free will so let's try and consult God so our choices can be pure of heart. God thank you for giving me understanding I really appreciate it so much because I never felt I could truly understand you but as I grow my eyes are open, my heart feels filled up and my soul feels free. I feel I'm on fire for you and it feels good even where I'm at in my life. Also God thank you for speaking through people it feels good to hear you, it has allowed me to find peace in my situation. -WM
