God Speaks Day 19

Spending time with God in jail.

November 27th, 2018

Matthew 11:28- “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

2 Chronicles 17:3‭-‬6- The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the ways of his father David before him. He did not consult the Baals but sought the God of his father and followed his commands rather than the practices of Israel. The Lord established the kingdom under his control; and all Judah brought gifts to Jehoshaphat, so that he had great wealth and honor. His heart was devoted to the ways of the Lord; furthermore, he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.

Proverbs 11:28- Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

My Thoughts:

Trusting in God is the most important thing you can do. It shows you have faith to turn over control as you trust in him with your life so that his plan for your life can prevail. You have to give all to God, we have to know and believe he will take care of us and our needs. God is bigger than all of this, he is in control and he allows us to choose to love and trust him. He doesn't force us to do anything, he gives us free will to choose him. He gives us freedom because he loves us so much. We just need to figure out what we want, but why wouldn't we want to choose him. His love, his kindness, his control over the harsh reality of the world, so that we can remain free, remain at peace not only in this life but in eternity with him. God help me to continue to trust in you to know you have control over my life as long as I allow you to because you only want good for me.
