Blank Page
I had a blank page in front of me last night, and I had no idea what I was going to draw. As I stared at my blank page I decided on flowers. So in the corner of the paper I drew some flowers. The flowers I drew were different from ones I've drawn before. Once I got done drawing the basics I looked at them and I wasn't too sure about the flowers I drew, but I decided to keep going. I added color, then some shading and the flowers started to look a lot better. Surprisingly though the flowers were turning out better than I thought. Once I was done with the flowers in the corner of the page, I said "Why not add some more things to my paper it looks a little plain" so I started adding some words for inspiration in different fonts. After adding the words I said to myself "Oh man it's a little crooked". I wasn't giving up at this point though; there was no turning back and I was determined to keep going. I added some lines, some more color, and again I was surprised that it started to look really good. I kept going and the more I did, the more creative I got. As I kept drawing, my creation began to turn into something amazing. It changed for the better as I would add colors, lines, shading turning into a whole new picture. My picture was so beautiful. The picture I was drawing was something totally different from what I originally planned when I started with my blank page. I was able to take a step back and be in all of what I just created; it was so amazing. Then I started thinking this must be in some way how God is with us (besides the fact that he already knows everything). God created us with his hands; he had an idea and started off by making us. As we would grow he would help mold our lives little by little. Maybe a mistake would be made making us seem ugly to an outsider, but to God he saw us in a new light. He knows that if he keeps going he will help mold us into something so beautiful. Beautiful art takes time, it takes patience, it takes someone looking at it and seeing something more than what's in front of them in those moments. I do this all the time whether I'm painting or drawing or whatever I'm doing. My art starts off rough around the edges, but once I keep going and if I make a mistake I always know it can be fixed. I know I can add to it and make it unique, maybe different than I originally planned it to be. It's moments like this that will make your piece of art into what it should be. In our times of pain and heartache we are being sculpted into a beautiful piece of artwork. God sees what you are going through but he knows that you are going to come out so wonderful. So don't give up beautiful, because God sees the end result far beyond what your eyes can see. Just know that with everything you go through God is making you into something amazing.
