I’ve questioned God many times over the years, asking “Why Me?”
I’m nothing special so why would God see me as someone worthy to write my story, to make music, to help others? I prayed hard about this one day, because honestly I haven’t felt qualified for anything.
Over these last few years I have strived to do everything I can to share my testimony. But it hasn’t come without struggle. In fact I feel I’ve struggled more at times then I ever did before. Most times the hardships would show up around the times I was releasing music or trying to get my book published.
I know now it’s the enemy trying hard to distract me or deter me from continuing on. I’m sure there were times he thought he would be successful, but I stayed faithful to God and no matter how hard it got or how long it took I stayed on the narrow path.
I’m human, so of course I questioned God, and then one day I got the answer. God said I’m qualified to serve in his Kingdom because I’m willing. Once I heard this it dawned on me that of course I’m qualified. Because anyone who is willing to serve, anyone willing to share their testimony, anyone who is willing to help is absolutely a qualified witness of God.
God isn’t picking people based on what the world deems suitable. He’s basing it on the heart of the person willing to do whatever He needs them to do, but not only that he wants people who freely love him. If someone loves God then they can love others enough to put their own self aside.
This blew me away once I put it together, because the enemy is so good at making us think we aren’t good enough. He has definitely made me feel this way, so I know he does it to all of us.
So just know in the moments where you feel like questioning God on why he feels you are best fit to serve where you are serving, then remember that your willingness to follow him wherever He needs you to go, is all that is needed to prove to God that your have a heart for Him!
