Love Others

It officially seems apparent to me that humanity has lost all sense of compassion towards others.

It’s sad to see how hateful people can be towards each other, even in death. Why do people have to be so mean? Why does this world seem to run on cruel words and inhumane thoughts?

In no way can I say I’m a perfect person, but I do have compassion for others. Even in times when people think that compassion isn’t necessary, I feel that my heart says otherwise.

But why as a human race have we lost love for each other? This is one of 2 commandments that Jesus said is most important. Love others as we love ourselves. But it seems that the love for one’s self has overcome the love for others. I do understand though, as a human we have to look out for ourselves, we have to set boundaries, otherwise besides the need to live a comfortable life, if we aren’t able to take care of ourselves how can we take care of others, right?

I’m not saying completely ignore that fact, all im saying is where is the humanity in this fallen world? Have we lost all sense of care? Have we forgotten that if we work together, we can be better people? It definitely feels that way, especially when you see how or read about what people really feel.

I haven’t lost hope though. I believe there are others like me, who believe that with the example of love we can be a domino effect in the life of others. Hopefully trickling through the world making a difference.

I won’t give up hope on humanity, and I won’t give up faith that Jesus will help nurture the seeds planted by those who truly want a better world to grow in.
