“How crazy this journey has been for me. I’m different than I was before, I’m not the same person I was when I walked in these doors 163 days ago. I was so lost and broken. I didn’t know who I was, what I like, what I wanted to be. But now I’m different, the girl in that picture is a stranger with a life I don’t recognize at all really. Even though there is pain and some open wounds healing, there is also peace and hope that never existed before. I have esteem, I’m happy to be me, and I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say that and really mean it! I know what I want in life but my control has been released into the hands of my savior. I’m free, I’ve experienced freedom in prison and not a lot of people can say that, but I can and I mean it! Thank you, Lord, for saving me once again for restoring my family, and for helping me to understand. It’s so different than before my mind is wiser now. I guess I was so stubborn and hard-headed I needed to mess up to really get it. Well, this is it for me, I got it now, but only because I got you, Jesus.”
