God Speaks Day 8

God Speaks Day 8

Spending time with God in jail.

November 17th, 2018

Proverbs 11:17- Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.

Psalms 100:1‭-‬5- Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

My Thoughts:

When you are kind it brings joy to your heart. You feel good inside, you feel that one gesture, that one comment, that one conversation, that you were able to have with someone and you were able to speak to them in a way that they needed just for that moment, can change your heart. To be able to lift someone's spirit or even just listen to them can bring you happiness. When you are cruel to people it eventually destroys your spirit making you cold-hearted. Giving thanks to the Lord helps you develop a grateful heart. When you have the spirit of God and you serve him, this only brings Joy. You become excited about living for him. We are God's and praising him and giving thanks will help show how we appreciate what he does for us. God loves us and always will. He will stay faithful to us through all time.
