God Speaks Day 27

Spending time with God in jail.

Proverbs 12:6- The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.

Psalms 106:34‭-‬47- They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them, but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs. They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood. They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves. Therefore the Lord was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance. He gave them into the hands of the nations, and their foes ruled over them. Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power. Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin. Yet he took note of their distress when he heard their cry; for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented. He caused all who held them captive to show them mercy. Save us, Lord our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.

My Thoughts:

People get caught up in the way they think, so the words that slip from their mouths can sting others. This is why God teaches us to think before we speak and when we speak, speak uplifting words to people because words can lift people up or break people down even the words we speak to ourselves are powerful. We have to be careful who we associate with because if we are not strong enough, their ways can become our own. It's easy to get influenced by the ways of the world. That's why we must remain strong in the word. God is always with us and he will help us, but we need to stay as faithful to him as he is to us. When we ask for his help, He is always there working and we can easily be blinded by the world if we are not careful. We sometimes forget to look at what really matters. We need to focus on our loving God so that we can have peace in our hearts and minds.

God, I just love you so much. I thank you for the way you are teaching me and not only to be a better person but as a faithful person to you so when I walk out of here I can be a better Christian all the way around and my integrity will shine bright so that others can see. I love you so much and I thank you for walking with me and getting my attention so that I don't fall short of your glory. That I'm able to rise above my pain, my losses, my suffering that has weighed so heavily on me for so many years. I feel like many burdens have been lifted and if I ever feel that way again it will be because I caused it on my own because walking with you I can only feel at peace. I can only feel love and feel Worthy of having a good life with you and for all of eternity. I love you forever.
